Dr. Anandibai Joshee was the first South Asian woman to receive a degree in Western medicine. She graduated from the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1886, returning to India a hero. Joshee tragically died just a few months later, before she could begin practicing medicine. She was only 21 years old, but her achievement would resonate for generations to come. SAADA is proud to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Anandibai Joshee with a specially designed t-shirt.
